The 7170 Float Stretch Kit enables 7170 floats to increase their gross weight capacity to 8200 lbs when installed with Stolairus' 400lb Upgross Kit and with the addition of Stolairus' Float Bumper your 7170 gross weight capacity is increased to 8367lbs.
This Kit lengthens your 7170 float aft by 22" and a new aft bottom is included. This 7170 Float Stretch Kit gives your 7170 floats greater steering capabilty and stability on top of the increased gross weight capacity. A complete pre-assembled float section is supplied with splices and all attaching hardware.
Once the floats have been lengthened with the Float Stretch Kit, then install the floats on your Otter with STC SA96-9 (FAA STC: SA00400NY) for the installation of the modified floats.
Total estimated installation time is 80 hours.
